Tuesday Night Game Rained Out
The Barnstormers game on 5/18 has officially been rained out. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 28. The homestand concludes Wednesday with a day/night doubleheader at 11 AM and 6:30 PM.
Brett Harper has Good Game in Sacramento
Brett Harper, who was signed by the Oakland Athletics and assigned to AAA Sacramento, had a great game in his second game for the team. Harper went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, including a 2-run double, which was his first hit for the team. He had a rest day for today.
Two Tough Home Losses
Back to back tough losses at home for the Barnstormers over the past two nights, losing 3-2 to Camden, and then taking a 5-2 loss to Southern Maryland Monday night. The common theme of those two games, which has been a common occurrence all season long, was the inability for the Barnstormers to hit with runners in scoring position. In both games, double digit runners were left on base for the Stormers. The Barnstormers are scheduled to play tonight, and then finish the homestand with a day/night doubleheader on Wednesday.

Barnstormers Shell Sharks
The Barnstormers again jumped out to an early lead Saturday night, and this time they were able to hold on to the lead, winning 7-1. Aaron Herr and Jason Perry each hit a home run out to right field, leading the Stormers to an early 5-0 lead after two innings. Neal Musser, making his first start for Lancaster this season went 5 1/3 innings, giving up just one run. The bullpen came in and was successful in holding down the fort, as the Barnstormers won to even the series at 1-1. The rubber game is played this afternoon, with a 1:30 start here at Clipper Magazine Stadium. It should be a great pitching matchup today, as Ben Fritz goes against Sam Narron.

Barnstormers fall to Camden
A tough loss to the Riversharks last night, as the Barnstormers fell 7-5. The Barnstormers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after 2 innings, behind some great hitting by the righties in the lineup, which had been a problem early in the season. Joe Gaetti hit a 3 run double in the first to help boost the Stormers to the early lead. However, Josh Hall gave up 5 runs in the 3rd, and the Riversharks added one in the fifth and one in the seventh to take the win. Neal Musser makes his 2010 debut as a starter tonight, facing Travis Chick for the Riversharks. A lot is going on at the ballpark tonight, with fireworks, a checkbook cover giveaway and "kids work in sports" night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35.

A New/Old face coming to the Barnstormers
During the road trip, a new pitcher was signed, and made his season debut on Wednesday. Neal Musser returns to the team after playing for the Barnstormers in 2009. Musser is mainly a reliever, though does have the capabilities to start. He spent a season in the majors with the Royals in 2007. He split time between AAA and the majors that year. When in AAA in 2007, he had a .49 ERA, and had more strikeouts than walks and hits combined. He should be a good addition to the Barnstormers' staff.
